Who – is SCIMAC?

SCIMAC brings together representative organisations along the UK farm supply chain. Consensus within SCIMAC is based on a shared conviction that access to new technology remains fundamental to the well-being of UK agriculture – both in terms of our economic competitiveness and our ability to protect and enhance the British countryside and environment.

This proactive initiative by the whole supply chain was developed well in advance of the first GM crops being grown commercially in the UK. SCIMAC members are committed to ensuring UK adoption of the technology is carefully managed and delivers a meaningful choice for farmers and consumers through effective co-existence between GM and non-GM crops at the farm level.
