SCIMAC supports case-by-case, science-based regulation of GM crop technology, and is committed to delivering choice and co-existence between GM and non-GM approaches to crop production.
SCIMAC has developed practical, on-farm guidelines for managing GM crops as a proven basis for sensible, fair and workable co-existence arrangements between GM and non-GM crops.
SCIMAC has also established the basis for a supply chain ‘redress charter’, a commitment by the industry to provide redress through private settlement on a case by case basis where non-GM growers suffer demonstrable economic loss through no fault of their own as a result of accidental GM admixture.
